  7. All right all you 3DO/NHL maniacs out there, here are the facts...

  9. I got a call from the store where I purchase pretty much all my 3DO games.
  10.  The clerk at the store said that he got a call from the owner (who's at
  11. the E3 show) with explicit instructions on calling me to tell me some news
  12. for immediate posting to the Internet.  Why?  You'll see in a moment...
  13.  
  14. My friend found out that EA are NOT including league play within NHL
  15. Hockey '96.  To most NHL'ers out there, this is an important part to the
  16. game.  Why?  It increases long term playability as well as increasing the
  17. challenge (of course with no league play, no league stats!).
  18.  
  19. Why would EA do this?  The first thing that pops into my head is a lack of
  20. save ram in the 3DO.  However, since Slam & Jam from Crystal Dynamics has
  21. full league play as well as stats, forget it!  That excuse jsut doesn't
  22. hold water.  I then go back to the history of EA Sports and I'm forced to
  23. think maybe they want to keep a few things for the next release (extra
  24. sales, right?).  Do I have to mention the "forgetfullness"  of Goalie
  25. control in Fifa as well as all the stuff missing from Madden???

  27. So here it is, I'm officially declaring war on EA.  No, I'm not an idiot
  28. as to ask you all to boycott EA, but maybe if they can find out about how
  29. we feel, they will add it on the game?  Have we anything to lose?

  31. Anyway, here is what I propose...

  33. 1 - You get a list of names from fellow 3DO owners who are pissed and send
  34.     them to me.  I'll compile a new FULL list and forward it to EA. In
  35.     fact, I know of a few people who are NOT buying a 3DO because of this 
  36.     decision.  So I'll send the list to 3DO as well.

  38. 2 - Call EA and tell them yourselves what you think.

  42. 3 - If you have access, flood their Web and if there is the option, send
  43.     them a message concerning this.  While your at it, let them know to add
  44.     more 3DO stuff to their Web.  For a company which say the 3DO sales are
  45.     a big part of their income, the 3DO representation is bloody embarassing.

  48. 4 - If you live near by, fax them! or knock on their doors and let them
  49.     know in person.

  51. 5 - If your at the E3 show, let them know.

  55. opinions), let me know.  I hate to coin a phrase, but "together we can
  56. make a difference" and "power to the people".  Don't be shy...
